Gómez launches 24 Days of Local Businesses Holiday Campaign in Hampden District
State Senator Adam Gómez (D-Springfield) is proud to announce the launch of the “24 Days of Local Businesses” campaign, a new initiative to celebrate and support small businesses throughout the Hampden district during the 2025 holiday season.
“Small businesses are the heart of our neighborhoods,” said Senator Gómez, Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Community Development and Small Businesses. “This campaign is about celebrating the hardworking entrepreneurs who keep our communities strong, especially during the holiday season when local support matters most. Whether it’s a beloved local shop, a family-owned lunch spot, or a new business on the block, I encourage everyone to nominate a local gem and help us spotlight the incredible talent and dedication right here in the Hampden District.”
From December 1 through December 24, Senator Gómez’s office will spotlight one small business each day on social media, highlighting their unique story, holiday offerings, and contributions to the community. The campaign aims to encourage residents to shop local, strengthen neighborhood economies, and build lasting relationships between small business owners and the communities they serve.
Small business owners and community members are invited to nominate their favorite local businesses by completing the official nomination form. From the pool of submissions, 24 businesses will be selected to be featured throughout December. Businesses not selected for the daily spotlight will still be included in a “District Holiday Shopping List” which will be shared widely to help resident discover even more local options for their holiday needs.
